1.  Fully extend the antenna.

2.  Turn on the transceiver by rotating the volume control up until it
    clicks.

3.  Turn the channel selector to the desired channel.

4.  To transmit, press PUSH TO TALK and speak into the microphone from
    about three inches away.  To transmit an alert tone to another
    transceiver on the selected frequency, press the call button.

5.  Release PUSH TO TALK when you are finished speaking.

6.  Adjust the volume control to the most comfortable listening level.

7.  Turn the volume control down until it clicks to turn off the
    transceiver.
