You can use your Radio Shack TRC-484 40-Channel CB in your vehicle or home.
The built-in 40-channel PLL (phase-locked loop) frequency synthesizer uses
a precise frequency reference crystal for reliable and exact tuning.  With 
optional accessories, you can also use your CB as a public address system.
Other features include:

 Digital Channel Display - makes the channel number easy to see.

         Squelch Circuit - reduces noise between transmissions.

         RF Gain Control - prevents RF overloading caused by strong
                           signals.

    TX and RX Indicators - light to show when the radio is in the TX
                           (transmitting) or RX (receiving) mode.

        Channel Selector - lets you easily select the desired channel.

 Channel Up/Down Buttons - let you easily select channels while you are 
                           holding the microphone.

Emergency Channel Switch - lets you instantly switch to Channel 9 or 19.

   External Speaker Jack - lets you connect another speaker to your CB.

         PA Speaker Jack - lets you connect an external PA speaker so you 
                           can use your CB as a PA system.

Universal Mounting Bracket - holds your CB securely in place.

Maximum Allowable Power Output - gives you the greatest available range.
