The AM Antenna is built-in.  However an external antenna can be used if
the stations are not strong.  For AM reception, use a loop antenna.

To use a Long-wire Antenna Kit (Cat. No. 278-0758) with this radio, you
must purchase 1/8" connectors (Cat. No. 274-0286 or 274-0287).  The screw
connectors on the end of the antenna wire need to be removed and the wire
attached to the 1/8" connector which can then be plugged into the external
AM antenna jack on the radio.
