TRC-224 (210-1642) Troubleshooting Faxback Doc. # 6174 3-Watt 3-Channel CB Transceiver If you suspect that your CB is not working as it should, refer to the following chart to see if you can eliminate the problem. ─────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────── Symptom Remedy ─────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────── Insufficient charge Replace or recharge batteries. ─────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────── Hard to transmit Be sure to fully press PUSH TO TALK and check all antenna connections. ─────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────── Hard to receive Adjust SQUELCH and check all antenna connections. ─────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────── If the problem persists, take the CB to your local Radio Shack store. DO NOT attempt repairs or adjustments yourself. WARNING Do not open your CB to make any internal adjustments except changing or installing new crystals. Any internal adjustments should be made only by, or under the direct supervision of, a person holding an FCC 1st or 2nd Class Radio Operator's license. Internal adjustments and/or modifications can lead to illegal operation as defined by FCC Rules and Regulations, Part 95. Such illegal operation can lead to very serious consequences. You can add or replace crystals in your transceiver. We cannot be responsible for the proper operation of your CB if you use other manufacturer's crystals.
