Talkie

1.  Press down on the battery compartment cover and slide it off in the
    direction of the arrow.

2.  Snap the battery connector onto a 9-volt alkaline battery (such as
    Radio Shack Cat. No. 23-553) and position the battery inside the
    compartment.

    CAUTION:  Use only a fresh battery of the required size and type. 
              Always remove an old or weak battery.

3.  Replace the cover.

When either walkie talkie cannot transmit properly, or the sound weakens,
replace its battery.  If you do not plan to use a walkie talkie for several
days, remove its battery.
