INSTALLING THE BATTERY

You need one AAA battery to power your blackjack game.  For extra long
battery life, use an alkaline battery, such as Radio Shack's Cat. No.
23-555/558.

Follow these steps to install the battery.

1.  To remove the battery compartment cover, press and slide the cover in
    the direction of the arrow.

2.  Insert one AAA battery as indicated by the polarity symbols (+ and -)
    marked inside the battery compartment.

3.  Replace the cover.

NOTES:  When the display dims or sound weakens, replace the battery.

        If the game does not work properly, you might need to reset it.  To
        reset the game, remove and reinstall the battery.  If the game
        still does not work properly, you might need to replace the
        battery

PLAYING WITH OR WITHOUT SOUND EFFECTS

Press SOUND to turn off the sound effects.  (((*))) disappears from the 
display.

Press SOUND again to add sound effects.  (((*))) appears on the display.

AUTOMATIC POWER-OFF

To conserve battery power, the computer automatically turns off after 
about 3 minutes if you do not press any keys.

To turn on the computer, press ON/OFF.

With one fresh battery installed, the computer can retain the game status
and scores for months.
