Ambulance LCD Game (600-2491) Operation Faxback Doc. # 19250 TURNING THE SOUND ON/OFF You can play the game with or without sound. To turn on the sound, press >. Music notes appears at the lower right of the display. To turn off the sound, press > again. Music notes disappears. NOTE: To make the game more realistic, you can press the light button. The game sounds a realistic emergency siren for about 6 seconds. PLAYING THE GAME 1. Press SELECT or the large button on the left of the game to stop the demonstration mode. Press SELECT again to select Game 1. G1 and 0000 appear on the lower right side of the display. Press SELECT again to select Game 2. G2 and the highest score appear. 2. Press START or < to start the game. An ambulance appears at the top of the display, and two patients appear on the lower right side. A person appears randomly on the display. He might be attacked by a wild bird, a monkey, or a snake. 3. Press < or > to move the ambulance to the left or right to rescue the person. 4. Press the large button on the left to rescue the person before he is attacked. When you rescue a person, the display shows the wild bird, monkey, or snake waiting for its next victim. If you fail to rescue a person, you lose one patient from the lower right side of the display. When you lose two patients, the game is over. NOTES: During the game, a hospital randomly appears in the top right corner. Press > to move the ambulance to the right and score more points before the patients disappears. During the game, a distressed patient randomly appears in the top left corner. Press < to move the ambulance to the top left and score more points before the patients disappears. 5. To start a new game, repeat Steps 1-4. If you do not start a new game after 30 seconds, the game returns to the demonstration mode. Levels and Scoring Game 1 (G1) and Game 2 (G2) are played in the same way, but Game 2 is faster than Game 1. The action in both games speeds up every time you score 2,000 points. Points are scored as follows: Rescuing a person = 10 points Getting to the hospital = 80 points Saving the distressed patient = 40 points The maximum score is 7,990 points. After a player reaches 7,990 points, a melody sounds. Press SELECT or the large button on the left of the game to reset the counter to 0000 and continue the game. Resetting the Game If the game is not working properly, reset it by removing and re-installing the batteries. The display shows all of the game's pattern. (JC 12/29/95)
