Fire Engine LCD Game (600-2492) Operation Faxback Doc. # 19253 TURING THE SOUND ON/OFF You can play the game with or without sound. To turn on the sound, press >. Music notes appears at the lower right of the display. To turn off the sound, press > again. Music sound disappears. NOTE: To make the game more realistic, you can press the light button. The game sounds a realistic emergency siren for about 6 seconds. PLAYING THE GAME 1. Repeatedly press SELECT or the large button on the left of the game to switch between the demonstration mode, Game 1, and Game 2. When you select Game 1, G1 and 0000 appear on the lower right side of the display. When you select Game 2, G2 and the highest score appear. 2. Press START or < to start the game. A firefighter appears at the top of the display, and two firefighters appear on the lower right side. A person in a burning house, car, or tree randomly appears. 3. Press < or > to move the firfighter to the left or right to resuce the person. 4. Press the large button on the left to save the person before the house, car, or tree is engulfed in flames. When you save a person, the display shows a burnt house, car or tree. If you fail to save a person, you lose one firefighter from the lower right of the display. When you lose two firefighters, the game is over. NOTES: During the game, a fire station randomly appears in the top right corner. Press > to move the firefighter to the fire station and score more points before it disappears. During the game, a fire engine randomly appears on the top left corner. Press < to move the firefighter to the fire engine and score more points before it disappears. 5. To start a new game, repeat Steps 1-4. If you do not start a new game after 30 seconds, the game returns to the demonstration mode. Levels and Scoring Game 1 (G1) and Game 2 (G2) are played the same way, but Game 2 is faster than Game 1. Both games speed up when you reach 2000 points. Points are scored as follows: Rescuing a person = 10 points Getting to a fire station = 80 points Getting to a fire engine = 40 points The maximum score is 7990 points. After a player reaches 7990 points, a melody sounds. Press SELECT or the large button on the left of the game to reset the counter to 0000 and continue the game. Resetting the Game If the game is not working properly, reset it by removing and re-installing the batteries. The display shows all of the game's patterns. (JC 12/29/95)
