Table Top Blackjack Game (600-2485) Preparation Faxback Doc. # 32113 OBJECT OF THE GAME The object of Blackjack is to defeat the dealer by attempting to get a higher total than the dealer without going over 21. COUNTING THE DECK The card values are very straightforward and easy to remember. The game plays with a standard 52-card deck. Each card is counted at its face value. For example, a 4 is worth 4 points, and an 8 points. The 10 and face cards (Jack, Queen, and King) count as 10 points each, and are often called the 10-count cards. You have the option of counting an Ace as 1 point or 11 points, depending on which is more advantageous to your hand. WINNING, LOSING, AND PUSHING If your total does not exceed 21 but is more than the dealer's total, you win. If the dealer's total exceeds 21, he busts and you automatically win. If your two-card hand consists of an Ace with any 10-count card, you have Blackjack. If the dealer does not have Blackjack, you are an automatic winner. If at any time your total exceeds 21, you bust and automatically lose. If the dealer gets Blackjack and you do not, your automatically lose. When you and the dealer have the same total hand (less than 21), the game is a draw, or push. Your bet is returned to you and play continues with the next hand unless you are playing Face Up.
