Portable 1750L Sixty Four Level Chess Computer (600-2444) Advanced Functions Faxback Doc. # 32299 VERIFYING PIECE POSITIONS You can use the piece symbol keys to verify the location of any piece on the chess board during your turn. Each time you press a piece symbol key, the rank/file board lights indicate the piece's location. NOTE: You can use the piece symbol keys only during your turn. For example, if the white queen is on square D1 and you want to verify its location, press the queen's symbol key once while [black] is lit. The rank/ file board lights show square D1. Or, if the black queen is on square F6 and you want to verify its location, press the queen's piece symbol key, then press [black]/[white] until [white] is lit. The rank/file board lights flash to show square F6. To locate all pieces of the same color and type, repeatedly press [black]/ [white] until the indicator lights for the piece's color, then repeatedly press the piece's symbol key. If there is more then one of the same color piece of that type on the board, the rank/file board lights show the location of a like piece each time you press the piece's symbol key. If you press [black]/[white] then repeatedly press the piece's symbol key, the rank/file board lights show the location of a like piece of the other color's pieces.
