INSTALLING BATTERIES

You'll need four C batteries to power your radio.  We recommend alkaline
batteries, such as Radio Shack Cat. 23-551.

1.  Press down the battery compartment cover and slide it in the direction
    of the arrow.

2.  Put the batteries in the battery compartment.  Be sure to match the +
    and - marks inside.

3.  Close the battery cover and make sure it is secure.

CAUTIONS:  Use only fresh batteries of the required size and type.

           NEVER leave dead or weak batteries in the radio.

           If the radio will not be used for several days, remove the
           batteries.

           Do not mix old and new batteries.

           Dispose of batteries properly; do not bury or burn them.
