Mini Strobe / Flasher

Your Radio Shack Mini Strobe / Flasher is an example of superior
design and craftsmanship.  The following suggestions will help you
care for your Strobe / Flasher so you can enjoy it for years.

     Keep the Strobe / Flasher dry.  If it gets wet, wipe it dry 
     immediately.

     Use and store the Strobe / Flasher only in normal temperature
     environments.

     Handle the Strobe / Flasher gently and carefully.

     Keep the Strobe / Flasher away from dust or dirt.

     Wipe the Strobe / Flasher with a damp cloth occasionally to keep
     it looking new.

Modifying or tampering with Mini Strobe / Flasher's internal
components can cause a malfunction and might invalidate its warranty. 
if your Strobe / Flasher is not performing as it should, take it to
your local Radio Shack store for assistance.


CHANGING THE STROBE TUBE

If the strobe tube burns out, follow these steps to replace it.

  1. Unplug the Strobe / Flasher's AC cord from the outlet.

  2. Remove the two screws and the lens from the front end of the
     Strobe / Flasher.

  3. Carefully pull out the strobe tube and clip the leads above the
     tube holder.

     WARNING:  Be sure the tube is cool before you touch it.

  4. Insert a new strobe tube with anode voltage 200 min, 550 max
     (such as Radio Shack Unlimited No. 11506169, not supplied) into
     the tube holder and solder the leads in place.

     CAUTION:  Use only a strobe tube of the required size and 
               voltage.  Using a strobe tube that does not meet these
               specifications might damage the strobe tube or the
               Strobe / Flasher.

  5. Replace the lens and the two screws.
