USING THE PRESET AUTO-RHYTHMS

Your Concertmate-1500 has 128 preset auto-rhythms that provide a steady
beat for your music.  The name and three-digit number of each preset
auto-rhythm is listed on the ConcertMate-1500's top panel.

You can play a preset auto-rhythm on the ConcertMate-1500 in the following
ways:

*  Select and play a rhythm.

*  Synchronize the start of a rhythm with your music.

*  Start a rhythm with a special introduction.

*  Stop a rhythm with a special ending.

*  Briefly vary the pattern of a rhythm.

*  Play an alternative version of a rhythm.

SELECTING/PLAYING AN AUTO-RHYTHM

1.  Press RHYTHM.  The number of the last selected auto-rhythm appears on
    the display.

    NOTE:  The Concertmate-1500 automatically selects the rhythm
           LATIN FUSION (No. 000) the first time you turn it on after
           connecting power.  Each time you turn it on after that, it
           recalls the last selected rhythm.

2.  To change the rhythm, choose an auto-rhythm from the 128 RHYTHMS list
    and enter its three-digit number on the keypad.  The selected numbers
    appear on the display as you press the keys.  For example, to select
    VIENNESE WALTZ (No. 076), press 0 then 7 then 6.

    NOTES:

    *  If you enter a number greater than 127, the Concertmate-1500
       automatically selects the rhythm TECHNO (No. 127).

    *  If you incorrectly enter the first or second digit of the rhythm,
       you can press RHYTHM to clear your entry and return to the last
       selected auto-rhythm.

    *  To select the next highest or lowest numbered auto-rhythm, you can
       simply press + or - on the keypad.

3.  Press START/STOP to start the selected auto-rhythm.  The red indicator
    next to START/STOP flashes in time with the beat, and the keyboard
    plays the selected rhythm.

4.  Adjust VOLUME to the desired level.

5.  To slow down the auto-rhythm, repeatedly press TEMPO down-arrow.  To
    speed it up, repeatedly press TEMPO up-arrow.  The current number of
    beats per minute appears on the display as you press the button.

    NOTES:

    *  You can adjust TEMPO up-arrow/down-arrow to play an auto-rhythm
       from 40 to 255 beats per minute.

    *  To quickly slow down or speed up the tempo, press and hold TEMPO
       down-arrow or up-arrow.

    *  You can also adjust the tempo by pressing TEMPO up-arrow or
       down-arrow once so the current beats per minute appear on the
       display, then repeatedly pressing + or - on the keypad.

To reset the tempo to its default (original) speed, press both TEMPO
down-arrow and up-arrow at the same time.  The default beats per minute
appear on the display, and the auto-rhythm begins playing at the original
speed.

Play the keyboard to hear the selected sound(s) along with the rhythm.

To select a different rhythm, repeat Steps 1 and 2.

To stop the auto-rhythm, press START/STOP again.
