Q:  Does it voice cancel on regular CD?

A:  The Voice Cancel features works with signals which are recorded at
    the same level on both left and right channels.  It does not work
    with monaural recordings or broadcasts, stereo recordings,
    recordings with strong echos,  or vocals recorded off center.  Also
    if a musical instrument was recorded in the mid-frequency range, its
    sound level might decrease along with the vocals.
