Micronta Pocket Autorange Digital Multimeter (220-0169) Battery Faxback Doc. # 17513 REPLACING BATTERIES The meter uses two button-cell batteries for power. WARNINGS: TO AVOID SHOCK, DISCONNECT BOTH TEST LEADS FROM ANY EQUIPMENT BEFORE YOU REMOVE THE BATTERY. DO NOT OPERATE THE METER UNTIL YOU REPLACE THE BATTERIES AND CLOSE THE BACK COVER. B appears in the display when the batteries become weak or drop below the operating voltage. When this happens, replace both batteries. We recommend Radio Shack button-cell batteries (Cat. No. 23-115). Follow these steps to replace the batteries: 1. Set the function selector to OFF and remove the test leads from any circuit under test. 2. Use a Phillips screwdriver to remove the screw that secures the battery compartment cover. 3. Slide the battery compartment cover in the direction of the arrow, and remove the cover. 4. Replace the weak batteries with fresh ones with the positive (+) side up. 5. Replace the cover and secure it with the screw. WARNING: Never let children play with the batteries. Swallowing a button battery can be fatal. To avoid risk of explosion, do not recharge, or heat a button battery or dispose of in fire. (/all-11/29/95)
