LCD Clock with Dual Timer (630-0884) Replacing the Battery Faxback Doc. # 18077 The clock/timer comes with a battery installed. If the display is dim or nothing appears on the display, replace the battery with a button cell alkaline battery, such as Radio Shack's Cat. No. 23-115. If when you replace the battery, the clock/timer does not work, re-install that battery. Follow these steps to replace the battery. 1. With a coin, turn the battery compartment cover counter-clockwise. Then, remove the cover. 2. Remove the old battery and dispose of it. Then, install a new battery with the positive (+) side up. NOTE: Do not touch the new battery. Install it using clean gloves, or a clean, soft cloth. Fingerprint oil will shorten the life of the new battery. WARNING: Keep batteries away from children. Swallowing a battery can be fatal. 3. Replace the battery compartment cover so that its tabs fit into the slots. Then, use a coin to turn the cover clockwise. (PH 11/27/95)
