Testing Polar Transistors

1.  Plug the transistor into the hFE socket.

2.  Press hFE.  The meter displays the transistor type (NPN or PNP) for
    several seconds.  Then the meter displays the transistor's pinout.
    The three letters that it displays correspond to the three terminals
    of the hFE socket.  After a short pause, the meter displays the
    transistor's hFE.

    To test another transistor, plug another in and press hFE.
