TAD-325 (430-0396) Features Faxback Doc. # 14141 The new TAD-325 is a high-quality telephone answering system with touch- tone remote control. It is so easy to operate that it will quickly become an invaluable addition to your home or office. Because this unit offers so many special and advanced features, we urge you to read the owner's manual completely before using your new system. Touch-Tone Remote Control - Most features on the TAD-325 can be with Security Code performed from a touch-tone telephone without using any beeper, or from any pulse phone using a pocket tone dialer. Toll Saver - Saves possible long distance charges during remote operation. VOX and CPC - End the incoming message recording when a caller hangs up or when a caller stops talking for more than a few seconds. This saves tape and lets the TAD quickly reset after a "hang up" message. Call Monitor - Screens incoming calls and lets you choose calls to answer personally. Remote Turn-On/Off Function - When you are away you can start the TAD if you forget to set it to ANSWER. You can also turn off the TAD by remote control. Room Monitor - Lets you hear what is going on in the room where the TAD is positioned while you are away. Switchable Maximum Incoming - Sets the maximum Incoming message to 30 Message Length seconds or 3 minutes. Please note that each product connected to the telephone line places a certain load on the line. This load is known as the unit's "Ringer Equivalence Number (REN)". When using more than one product on the line, total all the ringer equivalence numbers. If they total more than 5.0 your phones might not ring and your TAD might not answer. In rural areas a total of 3.0 can impair ringer operation. To be sure, check with your local telephone company. This equipment complies with part 68 of the FCC rules. This registration number as well as the ringer equivalence number (REN) appears on the bottom of the unit. You must, on request, provide this information to your telephone company. Note: Do not connect this unit to Coin-operated systems or Party-lines. (LB/all-03/13/95)
