The USOC number of the jacks to be installed is RJ11C (RJ11W for a wall jack). Using The PHONE Use the Switch above the "2" button to switch to TONE or PULSE to match the type of service you have. If you have pulse (rotary) service, you can switch to TONE during a call to use tone service. Press the "*" and "#" keys for special services. Plug the handset cord into the jacks on the handset and base. Use the memory index card on the base to record important phone numbers. Press the lever in the upper portion of the base to hang up or disconnect a call. Use the switch on the right side of the base to set the ringer to sound or not. You can make and receive calls with the ringer off. Press the FLASH button to produce a switchhook signal for special services (for example, call waiting). Press the RESET button to end a call without returning the handset to the cradle. Press the REDIAL button to dial the last number dialed. (LB/all-04/25/95)
