Ericsson AH 210 Cellular Flipfone (170-1064) Troubleshooting Faxback Doc. # 15092 NO POWER TO THE TELEPHONE If the telephone does not come on when you hold down the END key, recharge or replace the battery. SIGNAL IS WEAK If no signal strength indication is shown on the display, move the telephone to obtain a stronger signal. A reading of at least 1 bar should be indicated. The maximum reading is 5 bars. Large obstacles such as buildings, hills and mountains can drastically affect the signal strength and you may have to move to obtain a sufficiently strong signal. Indoors, it is usually best to use the telephone near a window. Roaming is a cellular service feature that allows you to obtain service in a system other than your home system (the cellular system supplier to which you subscribe). When roaming, (travelling between different geographic regions or call areas) you may still use your cellular telephone, provided cellular system support is provided. This will be indicated by the presence of the \/ (ROAM) indicator as well as either "ROAM-A" or "ROAM-B" in the display. YOU CANNOT PLACE A CALL The telephone may not be in service or the signal is weak. The cellular system you are using requires or does not allow the phone number to be preceded by a "1" or the area code. Try various combinations or contact the operator for more information. You are roaming and the cellular system you are using does not have a roaming agreement with your home system. If there is another cellular system available, you can attempt to use it by directing the operation from one system to another using (5) SYSTEM SELECTION in the Menu Functions, or you can contact the operator to establish service. NOTE: Most operators can be reached by calling 611 or *611 from your cellular phone. If the operator cannot be reached, see your cellular service supplier for the number.
