Handsfree Speakerphone (170-0735) Operation Faxback Doc. # 15182 Car Kit When the phone is in the handsfree speakerphone holder, it automatically operates in handsfree mode. You can talk on the phone with it mounted in the holder using the built-in speaker and external microphone. We recommend you use the phone's Auto Answer mode. Using this mode, the phone automatically switches from standby to answer after the first ring of an incoming call. To end a call press the phone's END key. Removing The Phone Follow these steps to remove the phone from the holder: 1. Squeeze the side of the coil cord connectors and unplug it from the phone. 2. Using the thumb and forefinger, firmly squeeze and release the levers on the side of the holder. 3. Lift the phone out of the holder. When the phone is removed from the holder, handsfree operation is replaced by normal handset operation. Charging The phone's battery charges when the coil cord connector is attached to the phone, and the power cable is connected to both the handsfree speaker- phone and the vehicle's cigarette lighter socket. The phone displays the charging status. See the CT-352 owner's manual for details. Replacing The Fuse In the indicator does not light, the fuse in the cigarette lighter charger or the vehicle's fuse box might be blown. Follow these steps to remove the charger's fuse: 1. Unscrew the tip on the end of the cigarette lighter plug. 2. Replace the fuse with an identical 2A, 125V fuse (Cat. No. 270-1052). (LB/all-05/08/95)
