Nationwide Personal Pager (170-7011) Installing The Battery Faxback Doc. # 18218 Your pager requires one AA battery. For the best performance, we recommend an alkaline battery, such as Radio Shack Cat. No. 23-552. 1. Set LOCK to the left position and use both of your thumbs to slide the battery door off the back of the pager in the direction of the arrow (see illustration in Faxback Doc. # 17389). 2. Insert the battery as indicated by the polarity symbols (+ and -) marked outside the battery compartment. 3. Replace the battery door and slide LOCK to the right position to secure the door. NOTES: Turn the pager off when it is not in use to conserve the battery. The battery should last approximately 850 to 950 hours of continuous use. When you replace the battery, all messages and the time of day are lost. LOW BATTERY WARNING A low battery alert sounds and LO CELL appears on the display when the battery's power is low. When this occurs, replace the battery. NOTE: When you replace the battery, all messages and the time of day are lost. (CS 10/10/95)
