Press and immediately release the button to stop the alert sooner. Press and release the button again to display the message. To read additional messages, tap the button to scroll through them. NOTES: Messages longer than 12 digits continue on a second screen. This is indicated by an arrow (>) in the displayÆs lower right corner. Wait for the second screen to automatically appear after 12 seconds, or press the button to display additional digits. If you do not read the message, the pager alerts every 2 minutes and displays the number of unread messages. Messages are stored until you turn off the pager. OTHER INDICATIONS OVERFLOW appears if you have more than ten messages. The oldest messages are deleted. (down arrow) appears in the upper right corner to indicate you have received the message more than once. The message is stored only once. TONE ONLY 3 appears if the person paging you did not enter a number. DELETING MESSAGES To delete all read messages, turn off your pager (see Turning the Pager On and Off, above). You cannot delete individual messages. PAGER IDEAS Include your pager number in your answering machine or voice mail messages. This way, you can receive important messages immediately. Give your pager number to friends, family members, and business associates. When they page you, they can use their telephones keypad to enter a number where you can reach them. Your pager displays this number when you receive the page. Leave your pager number at your childrens school and with the babysitter so you can always be reached in an emergency. Establish code messages with your family or friends. For example, your children can include the code 3333 to tell you they are home from school. Your spouse can send 07734 to say hello! (Read it upside-down.) If you have a cellular phone, give your pager number instead of your cellular number. You can decide who to call back on your cellular phone, without paying for incoming cellular calls. This can drastically reduce your monthly cellular bill! (EB 12/13/95)
