The Radio Shack TAD-1002 Fully Digital TAD with Alarm Clock is a high 
quality telephone answering device.  Because it is fully digital, there are
no tape mechanisms to wear out and no tapes to bother with.  Fully digital
means the TAD stores all messages on a computer chip.  This gives you new
capabilities over tape-based answering machines.  For example, you can
delete individual messages while saving the rest.

The TAD's extensive 28-minute memory capacity means you can store a lot of
messages.  The TAD's unique, built-in alarm clock and its compact, space
-saving design make it ideal for your office or night-stand.  Its remote
control features let you use your TAD remotely from almost any touch-tone
phone (and a pocket tone dialer lets you use even a rotary phone to do the
same).

Your TAD's features include: 

Dual Outgoing Message Capability - lets you choose between playing an 
                                   outgoing message then recording incoming
                                   calls, or playing a message that is only
                                   an announcement. 

   Time/Message Number Indicator - displays the time each call was received
                                   as well as the total number of calls. 

               Two-Way Recording - lets you record phone conversations. 

                     Memo Record - lets you leave memos as messages on the
                                   TAD.

         Phone Pick-Up Detection - automatically stops the TAD if you
                                   answer a call after the TAD answers.

                   Delete Button - lets you quickly erase individual or all
                                   messages.

                  Call Screening - lets you listen to incoming calls so you
                                   can decide whether or not to answer.

                   Memory Backup - protects messages stored in memory in
                                   case of a power failure. 

  Remote Operation with Security - lets you operate the TAD from any 
  Code                             touch-tone phone (or rotary phone with a
                                   pocket tone dialer).  The security code
                                   helps prevent unauthorized remote
                                   operation.

                   Remote On/Off - lets you turn the TAD on or off when you
                                   are away from your home or office. 
 
                      Toll Saver - lets you set the TAD to answer after
                                   either two or four rings, or answer
                                   after two rings only if there are new
                                   messages.  This lets you avoid un-
                                   necessary toll charges when you check
                                   your messages by long-distance. 

                    Room Monitor - lets you listen from a remote phone to
                                   the room where you installed the TAD. 


This TAD has been tested and certified to comply with applicable UL and FCC 
standards.
