SET UP

To back up your phone's memories, install two AAA alkaline batteries (such
as Radio Shack Cat. No. 23-555) into the battery compartment as indicated
by the polarity markings (+ and -).

Plug the handset cord into the jacks on the handset and base.

Plug one end of the supplied telephone cord into the jack on the bottom
of the phone.  Plug the other end into a modular phone jack.

Note:  The phone company can charge you for the installation of the 
necessary jacks.  The USOC number of the jack to be installed is RJ11C.
