To use the phone as an intercom, make sure that RING ON/BATT SAVE switch
on the handset is set to RING ON.

To Call the Handset from the Base Unit

1.  Press INTERCOM on the base unit.

2.  When the handset rings, press TALK, and communication between the base
    unit and the handset starts.  You can also receive intercom by pressing
    any dialing keys (1 to 9, 0, * and #).

3.  To disconnect

    On the handset: Press TALK again.
    On the base unit: Press SPEAKERPHONE.

To Call Base Unit from the Handset

1.  Press INTERCOM on the handset.

2.  When the base unit rings, press SPEAKERPHONE, and the communication
    between the base unit and the handset starts.

3.  To disconnect

    On the base unit:  Press SPEAKERPHONE again.
    On the handset: Press TALK.

If You Receive an Incoming Call While Using Intercom

When a call comes in, you hear the incoming ring from handset and the base
unit speaker.

To answer the call

Press TALK on the handset or SPEAKERPHONE on the base unit to disconnect
intercom.

Then,

On the handset: Press TALK or any dialing key.
On the base unit: Press SPEAKERPHONE.

NOTE:  You cannot use the phone as an intercom when the telephone line is
       engaged.
