Your telephone has these special features: Lighted Dial - lights when you lift the phone. Redial - redials the last number dialed with the touch of a button. Mute - lets you talk with someone else in the room without being overheard by the person on the other end of the line. Flash - activates an electronic switchhook signal for use with specialized telephone services such as call waiting. Ringer ON/OFF - allows you to adjust the ringer's sound level. Touch Tone or Pulse (Rotary) - lets you connect your phone to either type Dialing of phone service. Hearing-Aid Compatible - so you can use your phone with hearing aids that have a T (telephone) switch. This telephone has been tested and found to comply with all applicable UL standards. FCC STATEMENT We have designed your telephone to conform to federal regulations, and you can connect it to most telephone lines. However, each telephone draws power from the phone line. The phone's Ringer Equivalence Number (REN), shown on the bottom of your phone, represents the amount of power drawn. If you are using more than one phone or other device on the line, add up all the RENs. If the total exceeds five, your phones might not ring. In rural areas, total REN of three might impair ringer operation. Your telephone complies with Part 68 of FCC Rules.
