Seashell Fashion-Fone (430-0830) Operation Faxback Doc. # 31238 Use your phone as you would any other standard phone. To make a call, lift the phone and open the upper case. Listen for a dial tone. Dial the phone number as usual. To end a call, close the upper case which presses the switchhook on the upper right of the phone. Note: To make several calls in a series, you may press the switchhook at the upper right of the phone instead of closing the upper case. To receive a call, lift the phone when it rings and open the upper case to begin your conversation. FEATURES Redial The redial memory holds up to either 31 digits in tone mode or 32 digits in pulse mode, so it can store long distance as well as local numbers. Press REDIAL to quickly redial the last number you dialed. Mute If you want to speak with someone in the room without the person on the phone hearing your conversation, press and hold MUTE. To resume your phone conversation, release MUTE. USING TONE SERVICES ON A PULSE LINE Some special services, such as bank-by-phone, require tone signals. If you have pulse service, you can still use these special services by following these steps: 1. Set TONE/PULSE to PULSE. Then dial the number of the special service. 2. When the service answers with a second dial tone, set TONE/PULSE to TONE. 3. Follow the special service's procedures for the service you are using. Any additional numbers dialed are sent as tone signals. 4. When you complete the call, set TONE/PULSE back to PULSE. (CS 3/14/96)
