SELECTING THE OPERATING MODE

Set NORMAL/STORE to NORMAL for normal operation.  Set NORMAL/STORE to
STORE only when you want to store numbers into memory.

SETTING THE DIALING MODE

Set TONE/PULSE to TONE if you have tone service or to PULSE if you have
pulse service, if you are not sure which type of service you have, do this
simple test:

1.  Set TONE/PULSE to TONE.

2.  Lift the handset and listen for a dial tone.

3.  Press any number except 0.  If the dial tone stops, you have touch-tone
    service.  If the dial tone continues, you have pulse service.

    If you have pulse service, set TONE/PULSE to PULSE.
