Neon Desktop Squiggle Phone (430-0834) Installation Faxback Doc. # 31413 CHOOSING A LOCATION Choose a location that is out the way of normal activities and near a phone jack. CONNECTING TO THE PHONE LINE 1. Plug one end of the supplied modular cord into the modular jack on the back of your phone. 2. Plug the cord's other end into the phone line jack. CONNECTING POWER TO THE NEON LIGHT The built-in neon light is powered by standard AC power using the supplied AC adapter. 1. Push the barrel plug of the supplied AC adapter into the 12V DC JACK on the back of the phone. 2. Plug the other end of the AC adapter into a standard AC outlet. CAUTIONS: You must use a class 2 AC adapter that supplies 12V DC and delivers at least 300mA. Its center tip must be set to positive, and its plug must correctly fit the phone's 12V DC JACK. The supplied AC adapter meets these specifications. Using an adapter that does not meet these specifications could seriously damage your phone or the adapter. Always unplug the adapter from the AC outlet before you unplug it from the phone. CONNECTING THE HANDSET CORD To connect the handset cord, plug one end of the supplied coiled cord into the jack on the left of the base. Then plug the other end into the jack on the handset. You local Radio Shack store sells a wide selection of longer coiled handset cords and phone line cords. (CS 3/18/96)
