System 404 Four Line Telephone System (430-0451) Features Faxback Doc. # 33050 System 404 is a four-line, tone-dialing telephone system that allows the connection of up to 10 stations. (It cannot be used on rotary-type phone lines). Each station has direct access of up to four phone lines and has a hold feature that allows the answering or placing of a second call without disconnecting the current call. The system is ideal for small businesses or for families that have more than one phone line. System 404 is easily installed using modular plugs and jacks. And each station is completely self-contained - there is no separate KSU (key switch unit) to install or maintain. NOTE: To use the full, four-line capability of the System, you will need two RJ-14C modular jacks. These jacks look the same as a standard, single-line, modular phone jack but they are wired differently, each jack contains two separate phone lines. See page 4 for the proper wiring of these jacks, or contact your local phone company to arrange installation. The phone company is authorized to charge for the installation of these jacks. Additional Features Line Status Indicators - continually show the status of each line (in use, ringing, on hold, etc.) Ringer Volume Control - allows you to adjust the ringer volume for your personal needs. Battery Back-up - provides a minimum of 10 hours of complete System operation during an AC power failure. Auxiliary Phone Jack - allows the connection of telephone accessories, such as an amplifier or auto-dialer. Tone Dialing - provides faster dialing and allows communication with computer access equipment, such as alternate long distance and bank-by-phone. Variable Phone Line Compatibility - by making simple adjustments during installation, you may match the System to the line voltage available from your local phone company, thus ensuring optimum operation.
