0 through 9 Buttons - use to dial telephone numbers.

* and # Buttons - use for special phone company services such as call
                  forwarding and computer access.

  LINE SELECT Buttons - press a button to select a line when placing and

          HOLD BUTTON - press and release to place a call on hold.  Another 
                        call may be placed or answered, or the handset may 
                        be hung up without disconnecting a call that is on 
                        hold.

      Ringer Volume   - use to adjust the ringer volume to the desired level

    BATT TEST Button  - press to test the condition of the back-up battery.
       and Indicator    If the indicator lights, the battery is good; if not
                        replace the battery as soon as possible.

       Auxiliary JACK - allows the connection of an answering machine, an 
                        auto-dialer, or other single-line telephone device.  
                        The auxiliary jack may be connected to any of the 
                        System lines (one at a time) by pressing the 
                        corresponding line button.

  Battery Compartment - holds a standard 9-volt battery for battery back-up.
                        The hold condition and status defeat switches are
                        also located in this compartment.

Hold-Condition Switch - Adjust the phone for unusually low phone line
 (NORMAL/LOW CURRENT)   voltage. If calls are disconnected when placed on 
                        hold, set the switch to LOW CURRENT: otherwise leave 
                        it set to NORMAL.

 Status-Defeat Switch - use to disable unused line buttons, when less than
                        four lines are connected to the System.

              Handset - use as you would a regular handset.

Mounting Bracket and  - make it possible to mount the telephone on the wall.
       Keyhole Slots 

              Speaker - emits the ring tone when a call is received.

      Phone No. Label - use to record the main number used by each station.

       Line No. Label - use to record the phone number assigned to each line 
                        button.

 AC Power Adapter and - provides power for the phone and the connection 
Phone Line Connectors   point for up to four phone lines (2 from each RJ14 
                        jack).
