ROAMING

In some areas, the cellular system's computer automatically recognizes
roaming telephones. In other areas, you must contact the cellular company
before it can recognize your phone. The company needs to know your
telephone number, you phone's ESN (Electronic Serial Number), and how you
intend to pay for your calls. There is usually an additional charge for
roaming calls.

When you roam, the ROAM indicator flashes if you are using a cellular
system that is different from your home system (A or B). The indicator
lights steadily if you roam and are using a system that is the same as your
home system (see "Setting the Cellular System Type", above).
