INTRODUCTION

Your Radio Shack DUoFONE-210 2-Line Speakerphone with Auto-Dialer offers
you custom-designed features such as automatic memory dialing (of up to 33
telephone numbers), and the ability to place or receive calls from two
separate telephone lines.

The DUoFONE-210 is easy to use and will quickly become an invaluable
addition to your home or office.  We encourage you to take the time to read
this manual completely before operating the telephone so that you can start
enjoying all its features from the beginning.  With proper care, this tele-
phone should give you years of trouble free service.

Among the DUoFONE-210's many features are:

  Touch-Tone and Pulse - allows you to use the telephone with either type of
(Rotary) Dialing Modes   dialing system.

      One-Touch Redial - lets you quickly redial the last number called.

          FLASH Button - provides easy, reliable use of many special tele-
                         phone company services.

       Dual Ring Tones - allows you to quickly tell which line is ringing.

          Hold feature - lets you take another call without hanging up the 
                         first.

    Conference Feature - allows you to have a three-way conference using 
                         both telephone lines.

Hearing-Aid Compatibility.

For your own protection, we urge you to record the serial number of the
unit in the space provided.  The serial number is located on the bottom
panel of the telephone.

Your DUoFONE-210 is designed to conform to federal regulations and can be
connected to most telephone lines.

However, each device that you connect to your telephone line draws power
from the line.  The amount of power each device uses is called the ringer
equivalence number, or REN.  If you are using more than one product on the
line, add up all the REN's.  If the total is more than five, your phones
might not ring.  In rural areas, a total REN of three might impair ringer
operation.

This telephone complies with Part 68 of FCC Rules.  You must, upon request,
provide the FCC registration number and the REN to your telephone company.
These numbers are located on the bottom of the telephone.

WARNING:  The DUoFONE-210 must not be connected to:

    Coin-operated systems
    Party-line systems
    Most electronic key systems
