CHANGING THE UNLOCK CODE

NOTE:  You cannot change the unlock code when the phone is locked.  The
       unlock code is set to 1234 at the factory.


1.  Press [SEL] [5].  SECUrItY Id appears on the display.

2.  Enter the 5-digit security code (defaults to 12345) that you were
    given when you purchased the phone.  To help assure secrecy, the
    digits of your security code are not displayed--the display shows
    -----.

    NOTE:  If you enter an incorrect security code, ----- disappear from
           the display.  Repeat from Step 1.

    The security code is set to 12345 at the factory, but the sales agent
    should set it to a number you choose as part of the phone-activation
    programming.

    When you enter the correct security code, UnLOC CodE appears on the
    display.

3.  Press [SEL] to check current four digit unlock code, Old nnnn appears
    on the display.

4.  Enter a new four digit unlock code.

    If you make an error entering the new unlock code, press [CLR] and
    enter the correct code.

5.  Press [SEL] to store the new unlock code.

6.  If you dont want to change the unlock code, press [SEL] before you
    entered four digits.
