5-Volt/3 Amp Power (277-0119) Preparation Faxback Doc. # 15757 Supply The Cabinet selected for this Project-Board will give your completed unit a professional appearance when assembled. Mounting parts will be easy because you receive the Cabinet completely disassembled. To aid you in the Cabinet Preparation, you should have a center punch, power drill, nibbling tool and a small wrench set or nut drivers. Drill Templates have been provided on separate sheets for Front, Rear and Bottom Panel. WE RECOMMEND THAT YOU CLAMP THE PANELS TO YOUR WORKBENCH BEFORE DRILLING HOLES TO KEEP THE PANELS FROM ROTATING WITH THE DRILL BIT. Remove the Cabinet from its package and study the assembly illustrations. Tape the Front Panel Drill Template to the Front Panel. Center punch the holes and drill or cut them out. Tape the Rear Panel Drill Template to the Rear Panel. Center punch and drill out the holes. Tape the Bottom Panel Drill Template to the Bottom Panel. Center punch and drill out the holes. Deburr all holes with a small file. Assemble feet to Bottom Panel (see Illustration II of Cabinet Assembly instructions). Remove the paper backing from the Front Panel Label. Align the Front Panel Label over the Front Panel and gently press into place. Next, change the Meter Face Plate (you received a Face Plate in your Project-Board package). Use caution to prevent damaging the meter pointer during the following steps. Remove the Plastic Face Plate cover from the Meter. Be careful not to scratch the plastic cover. The cover snaps onto the meter case. Use a small common screwdriver to pry the top of the cover loose. Caution: Perform the following steps in a clean area. Because of the magnet in the meter be sure there are no metal filings in your work area and be careful not to drop the screws into the meter opening. Remove the screws holding the metal Face Plate. Place the metal Face Plate on a flat surface and align the new Face Plate. Remove the paper backing from the new Meter Face Plate. Be sure the new Face Plate is aligned as accurately as possible, then smooth it out over the metal plate. Position the metal Face Plate back on the Meter and secure it with screws removed earlier. Be sure the pin on the Meter adjustment screw is aligned with the slot in the adjustment tab and carefully reinstall the plastic Face Plate cover. Remove shorting wire from between meter terminals.
