AC/Phone/Fax Voltage Spike Protector

To protect the phone line, connect a modular telephone cord between a
standard modular telephone wall jack and the protector's WALL JACK jack.
Then plug the modular telephone cord from your telephone, fax machine,
answering machine, or other telephone equipment into the MODEM/FAX/PHONE
socket.

NOTE:  Radio Shack stores sell modular telephone cords of various lengths.

Press and hold TEST.  IF THE GREEN INDICATOR LIGHTS, the jack is properly
connected and protected.  IF THE RED INDICATOR LIGHTS, your telephone's
wall jack's red and green wires are reversed. To ensure than all your phone
products work on the line, carefully remove the wall plate cover and
reverse these wires, or have a telephone technician correct the problem
for you.

IF NEITHER INDICATOR LIGHTS, there is either an open (a disconnected wire)
or a short (wires touching) in the telephone wiring.  Have a telephone
technician correct the problem.

NOTE:  The telephone technician will charge for any necessary services.
