Step 3.3: Additional Hints.

If you followed the directions in the Instructions pamphlet and the test
step doesn't work, repeat the procedure.  If it still doesn't work, try
these steps:

    If the VCR never went into record-pause (that is, it stayed in record)
    move  the Easy Editor and try again.  Some VCRs require that the unit
    be closer or farther away.  It is very important that the RECORDER
    CONTROL emitter on the back of the Easy Editor point directly at the
    VCR's remote control sensor.

    If your VCR has two sets of remote codes try the other setting.

    Refer to the list of VCR codes on Faxback Doc. # 34338. Try each number
    listed for your brand.

This editor does not work on a TV/VCR combo.  It works on VCRs only.

The Control-L Cable allows you to start and stop your Camcorder, if the
Camcorder has edit control and real-time counter.   If the Camcorder does
not have edit control and real-time counter, then this cable is not needed.
