To use the LIGHT-UP, follow:

1.  Press the device key (TV, VCR, AUX, or CBL) for the device you want to
    control.

2.  Point the LIGHT-UP toward the device and press POWER to turn on the
    device.

3.  Point the LIGHT-UP toward the device and press the desired command
    keys.

    The command keys on the LIGHT-UP work the same as the keys on the
    device's original remote control; however, the labeling might differ
    slightly.

4.  To turn off the last device you selected, press POWER.  To turn off
    other devices, press the device key for the device you want to turn
    off, then press POWER.

USING PUNCH THROUGH

The punch through feature lets you control two different devices without
pressing the device keys for each one.  Here's how it works.

All of the LIGHT-UP keys are not used by any one device.  For example, a TV
is often the only device that uses volume keys, and a VCR is usually the
only device that uses keys such as REWIND, FAST F, and so on.

When you press TV and then press VCR any keys that do not control the VCR
still control the TV.

If the cable box or VCR has a volume control, you can turn off the punch
through feature.  This lets you control the volume through the cable box
or VCR, instead of the TV.

If you want to turn off the punch through feature and control the volume
through the cable box, press down and hold P until the red indicator blinks
twice.  Release P, then press 9 - 9 - 3 - CBL.  When the indicator blinks
twice, you can control the volume through the cable box.

To turn on the punch through feature for the cable box, press and hold P
until the red indicator blinks twice.  Release P then press 9 - 8 - 0. 
When the indicator blinks twice, you can control the volume by the TV.

The punch through feature does not work if the last two devices you select
have the same (or similar) features.  For example, most TVs and VCRs have
channel keys on the their remote controls.  In this case, you would have
to press the desired device key before you use the LIGHT-UP's channel keys.

USING THE LIGHT

The back light lets you see the keys on the LIGHT-UP in the dark.  Press
the "light bulb" key to turn on the feature.  Every time you press a key,
the LIGHT-UP lights up and stays lit for a few seconds.  To turn off the
light, press the "light bulb" key again.
