1.  Slide [POWER] to the right so that the POWER indicator lights. 

2.  Slide [EJECT] down to open the cassette compartment. 

    NOTE:  You can open the cassette compartment only when the camcorder 
           is turned on. 

3.  Insert a 8mm cassette into the cassette compartment as shown.  The 
    cassette's spine label should face the rear of the camcorder and the 
    side label should face away from the camcorder. 

    CAUTION:  Never insert anything except an 8 mm video cassette into the 
              cassette compartment. 

4.  Press the cassette compartment door at the point marked PUSH until the 
    door snaps closed. 

To remove the cassette, press down [EJECT] to open the compartment and 
remove the cassette toward the rear of the camcorder. 

CAUTIONS:  Never lift the camcorder by its cassette compartment door. 

           Remove the cassette before storing the camcorder.
