Do not place the camcorder near a heat source (heaters, etc.) Do not leave the camcorder in a closed car on hot days. If you notice anything unusual (smoke, strange noise or odor, etc.), turn off the camcorder immediately. Contact your local Radio Shack store for assistance. Do not let moisture (rain, steam, dew, salt, water, etc.) enter the camcorder. Do not allow any foreign objects (sand metal objects, flammable articles, etc.) to enter the camcorder. Do not aim the camcorder directly at bright light sources. Do not place the camcorder near bright light sources, as heat damage can result. Do not use this camcorder under the following conditions: high humidity, high vibration, excessive dust or dirt, or near strong magnetic fields (near transmitting antennas, motors, fluorescent lights, etc). Do not use the camcorder for monitoring only. Do not wrap the camcorder in any material during operation, the temperature inside can rise excessively and cause the camcorder to malfunction. Video heads When the video heads have been used for a long time, the playback picture can appear fuzzy. When this happens, have the video head cleaned. Take your camcorder to a professional technician, because the video heads might be damaged if you use a cleaning tape cassette. Video heads wear out in the same way as a phono stylus. If the picture is not clear after the heads have been cleaned, the heads are probably worn. Replace the heads. Take the camcorder to your local Radio Shack store for assistance. We recommend that the camcorder be inspected, cleaned, lubricated, and serviced after every 1000 hours of use. Viewfinder Remove the viewfinder attachment by turning it counterclockwise and remove dust accumulated inside the viewfinder. (CS 11/6/95)
