Your Realistic Model 151 8mm MovieCorder Camcorder combines all the
features of a video camera and a portable VCR in one light-weight package. 
Using 8mm cassettes, you can record and play back home movies anywhere. 
The low-light (5 lux) CCD imager makes special lighting unnecessary in most
situations.

You can also use the MovieCorder camcorder as a VCR for playback or copying
of a tape.  (Optional accessories are necessary for some procedures.)

Be sure to read this manual carefully and completely so that you can 
understand and enjoy all the features of your camcorder.

The camcorder has many special features that make operation simple, 
convenient, and versatile:

               1/2-inch CCD Imager - provides a clear, high-resolution
               (270,000 pixels)      picture, even in low-light conditions
                                     (down to 5 lux).

Real-Time Tape Counter with Memory - lets you mark and return to locations
                                      on the tape.  The counter shows the
                                      elapsed record/playback time in the
                                      viewfinder so you can tell how much
                                      of the tape remains.

       Multi-Angle Viewfinder with - lets you monitor the picture during
       Variable Focus                recording and view playback of a 
                                     recording.

             Eight-Power Zoom Lens - lets you go smoothly from wide-angle
                                     to telephoto shots at the press of a
                                     button.  You can use most standard
                                     photographic filters (49 mm).

                   Automatic Focus - constantly adjusts for optimum picture
                                     sharpness. You can use manual focus
                                     for special situations.

            Macro (Close-Up) Focus - lets you record close-up shots from as
                                     little as 3/8 inch away.

                         Auto Iris - adjust for low lighting (down to 5
                                     lux.)  You can use the backlight
                                     function to record objects with bright
                                     backlighting.

           Automatic White Balance - ensures natural color reproduction in
                                     indoor or outdoor lighting conditions.

                High Speed Shutter - lets you make sharper recording of
                                     fast motion.

                       Edit Search - lets you move the tape forward or
                                     backward a few frames at a time.

     Date/Time Character Generator - keeps up with the current time and
                                     date, and lets you record this
                                     information.  This information also
                                     appears in the viewfinder.

                  Recording Review - lets you quickly check the last few
                                     seconds of a recording.

               Built-in Microphone - provides soundtracks for you video
                                     recordings.  You can connect
                                     specialized optional external
                                     microphones to the microphone jack.

                     Earphone Jack - lets you monitor sound during
                                     recording or playback using an
                                     optional earphone or headset.

                   Accessory Shore - lets you mount an optional external
                                     microphone or a camera light.

             Standard Tripod Mount - lets you mount your camcorder on a
                                     video camera tripod for stable
                                     operation.

               Audio/Video Outputs - let you play back a tape on a regular
                                     TV.  You can also dub tapes from the
                                     camcorder to a VCR with the supplied
                                     A/V cord.

     Freeze-Frame & Picture Search - lets you quickly scan your recordings
                                     and examine certain frames in detail.

             Flexible Power Supply - lets you power the camcorder with the
                                     battery pack or the AC
                                     adapter/charger.  You can use the AC
                                     adapter/charger almost anywhere in the
                                     world.

The camcorder expands your possibilities for in-home video recording and
playback.  Do not use it in any way that might violate copyright laws.
