Initially Programming the Automatic Tuner

1.  Press [PROG] on the remote control.  The program menu appears on the
    TV screen.

2.  Press 4 to select VCR SET UP.  The setup menu appears on the TV
    screen.

3.  Press 1 to select normal(antenna) or cable (CATV) bands.  Normal or
    CATV is highlighted on the TV screen.

4.  Press [2] to enter the auto program mode.  The tuner scans through the
    channels in the selected band and memorizes all the active channels in 
    your area.

5.  After scanning all the channels, the tuner automatically exits the
    setup and program modes and stops on the lowest-numbered active
    channel.

Adding or Erasing Channels

Turn on the system; then, follow these steps to delete from memory any
channels you no longer receive or seldom watch, or to add any channels
missed when you programmed the tuner's memory.

1.  Follow Steps 1 and 2 in "Initially Programming the Automatic Tuner."

2.  Press 3 to select the add/erase channel mode.  CH appears on the TV
    screen.

3.  Enter the desired channel number using the remote control's number
    buttons, or use tuning on the remote control or the VCR's control
    panel.

4.  Press [PLAY] to add the channel or press [STOP] to erase the channel.

5.  Repeat Steps 3 and 4 to add or erase other channels.

6.  Press [PROG] once to exit the add/erase channel mode, and a second
    time to exit the program menu.

Note:  The tuner memory is common to both normal and cable TV  bands.  If
       you store Channel 45 in the normal TV band, the tuner stops on
       Channel 45 in the cable TV band also, even if there is no active
       channel there.
