Model 101 (160-0539) Playing a Tape Faxback Doc. # 3930 1. Turn on the TV and set it to the same channel as the VCR's OUTPUT CHANNEL switch (3 or 4). If you are using a TV/monitor that is connected to the VCR's AUDIO/VIDEO OUT jacks, set it to the video mode. 2. Hold the cassette with the main label facing up and the spine facing out from the VCR. Then insert the cassette into the VCR's compartment and gently push the center of its pine until the VCR draws it in. The VCR automatically turns on, the clock display changes to the tape counter, and the play indicator (>) appears if the tape's erase- protection tab is removed. The stop indicator (<<||>>) appears if the erase-protection tab is in place. If the erase protection tab has been removed from the cassette, playback automatically begins. CAUTION: Never insert anything except a VHS video cassette into the cassette compartment. You might damage the VCR's internal mechanisms. 3. If playback does not automatically begin, press PLAY/X2. NOTE: The VCR automatically adjusts the tracking. But if further adjustment is necessary, you can manually adjust it. 4. Press STOP to stop playback before the end of the tape. Then press STOP/EJECT on the VCR to eject the cassette. If the tap reaches the end before you press STOP/EJECT, the VCR automatically stops the tape and completely rewinds it and turns off. If the erase-protection tab has been removed, the VCR ejects the cassette after the tape fully rewinds. NOTE: You can press STOP/EJECT to eject a cassette when the VCR is off. The VCR's power temporarily turns on while the cassette ejects, then automatically turns off. (ALL-01/17/95)
