Pocketvision-29 LCD Color TV (160-0166) Operation Faxback Doc. # 31511 USING YOUR TV 1. Extend the rod antenna. 2. Set the function selector to VHF or UHF. The TV automatically starts scanning and stops at the next active channel in the selected band. 3. Press TUNING < or > to tune to a different channel. The tuning line on the screen aligns with the selected channel number below the screen. 4. Adjust the VOLUME for a comfortable listening level. 5. Adjust the antenna for the best reception. 6. Adjust BRIGHT for the desired brightness. The brightness also changes with the screen's angle. NOTES: If desired, fold out the stand on the back of the TV, and lean the TV on a flat surface for a convenient viewing angle. If reception is poor, try adjusting the rod antenna. For some stations, adjusting the length of the antenna provides slightly better reception. If you are inside a metal or concrete building, moving closer to a window might improve reception. USING AN EARPHONE You can mute the built-in speaker by connecting an optional earphone with a 1/8-inch plug to the PHONE jack. CAUTIONS: Set the volume to the lowest setting before you begin listening. Then, adjust the volume to a comfortable level. Do not wear the earphone while operating a motor vehicle or riding a bicycle. This can cause a traffic hazard and is illegal in some areas. BACKLIGHT In low temperatures, the TV screen takes a few seconds to light, or it might be slightly red in color. This is not a malfunction. Normal operation resumes after a short while. (EB 3/26/96)
