Surround Sound Amplifier (150-1279) Connections Faxback Doc. # 31786 Connecting the Speakers You can surround sound in either of two ways--to power front and rear speakers or to power rear only. Powering the front and rear speakers: Set speakers button on rear to NORMAL. Run wires from front and rear speakers to the unit box for R and L, positive (+) or negative (-) terminal. Powering only the rear speakers: If you are connecting only the rear speakers to the Surround Sound Amplifier,. you must use your stereo system to power the front speaker. Connect the rear speakers to the BTL terminals and not the rear speaker terminals. Doing this delivers the full power of the amplifier to the rear speakers. When only rear speakers are connected to the surround sound amplifier, set the speaker's switch to BTL. Connect the FRONT OUT jacks to the AUX or TAPE-IN jacks on your stereo system amplifier, using shielded cables with PCA-type connectors. (IR-04/03/96)
