TV Wall Mount (150-2006) Installation Faxback Doc. # 32285 1. Remove the hardware from the end of the mounting arm. Connect the platform to the mounting arm with the removed hardware as shown. 2. Insert the plastic channels into both wall plate pivot holes as shown. Locate the centerline of a wood stud. Use a level to plumb the wall plate over the wall stud with the holes in the wall plate over the centerline of the wall stud. Mark the location of the wall plate holes. Drill 3/16-inch diameter pilot holes 2 1/2-inches deep into the wall stud. Use a 3/8-inch socket wrench to attach the wall plate to the wall stud with three # 14 x 2 1/2-inch hex washer head wood screws. Check the wall plate for plumbness before tightening the screws. 3. Insert the mounting plate into the wall plate as shown. Pull down firmly, but not forcefully, on the platform to verify secure wall plate installation. Remove the mounting arm from the wall plate after verification. 4. Insert the side plates into the platform. Then insert the threaded rods through the side plates and into the nuts inside the platform. NOTE: If pressure pad plates have shifted during shipment, be sure to realign in side plates prior to insertion of side plates into platform. Tighten the threaded rods, keeping the side plates an equal distance from the center of the platform, until the distance between the side plates in slightly greater than the width of the TV. 5. Invert the TV. Place the platform on the bottom of the TV so at least 50% of the rubber pads on the side plates contact the sides of the TV. Use a 3/16-inch allen wrench to screw the side plates inward. Be sure to keep the TV set centered on the platform. Screw the side plates inward until the rubber pads have compressed to 50% of their thickness. Lift up on the platform to verify the plates are tight enough to secure the TV set. If the TV slips in the side plates, loosen the side plates, reposition the TV set, and then re-tighten the side plates. 6. Reattach the mounting arm to the wall plate. Insert and tighten the #8 self tapping screw into the hole at the top of the wall plate swivel. Turn the tilt adjustment knob until the desired tilt is reached. (EB 4/25/96) (LB-04/11/96)
