Some of the buttons on the remote control are duplicated on the front panel
of the VCR.  Using these buttons, you can perform identical procedures
either at the VCR or by remote control.

However, many of the special function buttons appear only on the remote
control.  Of course, procedures that require these buttons can be accessed
only by remote control.

To use the remote control, install the batteries (not supplied), point the
control at the VCR, and press the desired button. See "Battery Installation
for the Remote Control", on Faxback Doc. # 32920.

1.  DIRECT ACCESS TUNING Buttons - allow direct selection of any channel
    within the tuner's range.  See "How the Tuner Works", on Faxback Doc.
    # 32917.

2.  ON-SCREEN PROGRAMMING DISPLAY Buttons - use to set the clock and
    automatic timer programs.  These buttons are explained as needed in
    other sections of this manual.

3.  (FRAME) Button - press during Freeze-Frame operation to advance the
    picture one frame at a time.  See "Special Record/Playback Functions",
    on Faxback Doc. # 32923.

4.  (QUICK) Button - press during playback to begin quick-motion playback.
    Press (PLAY) to return to normal playback.  See ("Special Record/
    Playback Functions."

6.  (CLOCK) Button - press to change the VCR display to the clock mode.

7.  (MEMORY/COUNTER) Button - press to change the VCR display to the
    counter mode.  Press again to select the counter memory function-M
    appears on the display.

8.  (RESET) Button - press to reset the counter to 0000, when the counter
    is displayed.
