SCANNER MEMORY PROGRAMMING

You can program the tuner to scan only the channels you receive in your
area.  This programming does not affect direct channel selection using the
remote control's number buttons.

1.  Turn on the VCR and the TV that is connected to it.  If you are using
    a TV monitor, set it to the video mode and skip Steps 2 and 3.

2.  Set the TV to the same channel as the 3CH/4CH switch on the back of
    the VCR.

3.  Press [TV/VCR] so that VCR appears on the display.

4.  Set the INPUT SELECT switch to TUN.

5.  Set the TV/CATV switch for the type of signals you plan to receive.

6.  Set the MEMORY switch to ON.

7.  Press [CHANNEL UP].  The tuner automatically searches for and locks
    onto the first active channel and stores that channel in memory.  The
    tuner might occasionally stop on a weak station or a channel adjacent
    to a strong station.  If you do not want to store such stations,
    simply press [SKIP] then [CHANNEL UP] to continue programming the
    tuner.

8.  Press [CHANNEL UP] again to automatically locate and store the next
    channel.

9.  When you have stored all the channels you want, set the MEMORY switch
    to OFF.
