Easy Home Video Editor (150-1963) Special Functions Faxback Doc. # 34344 Step 11 Special Functions The following special buttons are used for advanced functions. When two buttons are listed, press and hold the first one as you press the second one. For instance, "EDIT and Thumbs-Up" means to press EDIT and hold it as you tap the Thumbs-Up button, then release both buttons. While EDITing or PREVIEWing a tape with a camcorder that has edit control: STOP: Stops EDIT or PREVIEW. Stops camcorder and VCR. PLAY: Stops EDIT or PREVIEW. Leaves camcorder playing, stops VCR. PAUSE: Pauses camcorder, leaves VCR as it was. FAST FORWARD: Skips the current scene, goes on to the next. REWIND: Rewinds to the first scene on the camcorder tape. EDIT or PREVIEW while camcorder is rewinding: Rewinds tape, then starts EDIT or PREVIEW. While EDITing or PREVIEWing a tape: PREVIEW makes the video go black as long as the button is held down. This is useful for removing a section that's too brief to EDIT out. Note that this may not work near the beginning or end of a segment, and note that audio is not affected. Special recording modes: Place VCR in record-pause first, then press indicated buttons. Use Thumbs- Down button to end. ON-SCREEN-DISPLAY and Thumbs-Up button: Make timecoded copy (see Step 10 on Faxback Doc. # 34343). PREVIEW and Thumbs-Up button: Record black video. EDIT and Thumbs-Up button: Record immediately. (Same as Instant Editing but this works with edit control cable attached.)
